July 14, 2022 Women Excelling Monthly Meeting
Join the Women Excelling chapter of the American Business Women’s Association for our monthly networking meeting and a presentation by special guest Kristen Walsh, Development Director, American Heart Association, Greater Lehigh Valley & Berks, “Stomp Out Stress”. The World Health Organization has named stress as the Health Epidemic of the 21st Century. Stress is often an underlying factor contributing to unhealthy behaviors such as overeating or drinking too much alcohol. Learn the signs and symptoms of stress, the effects it has on our heart health and what you can do right now to combat it and reclaim your rhythm!
Kristen has been working professionally in the Lehigh Valley non-profit field for over 14 years, the last 5 focused in fundraising. Previous roles include Supervisor of Volunteer Engagement at Feed the Children, Director of Visitor Services and Community Outreach at Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, Director of Development at Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, and Director of Development at The Literacy Center. She currently works for the American Heart Association as the Development Director for the Lehigh Valley and Berks Country market. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Eastern PA Chapter, and serves on the Lehigh Valley Philanthropy Institute committee.
Kristen earned a BA in History from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and an MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. She studied abroad at the University of Worcester, England, and a summer seminar abroad at the University of Westminster, London.
