December 14, 2023 Women Excelling Monthly Meeting
Join the Women Excelling chapter of the American Business Women’s Association for our monthly networking meeting and a presentation by special guest speakers, Janet Grazul, Treasurer, and Kristen Fallon, Founder and Vice President, of Let’s Build Construction for Girls – Lehigh Valley. The program, “Let’s Build – Empowering Girls to Become Future Leaders”, will include a presentation on the journey of the camp from conception to the present to the future as well as how female community leaders can inspire the next generation in the workforce. They will explain how the camp’s introduction to the construction industry through hands-on experiences and having campers explore and develop their own internal leadership skills including confidence, self-esteem, empowerment, and teamwork is unique. The presentation will touch on important goals of the camp such as: using strengths and skills for good, promoting non-traditional career opportunities to young women, helping girls develop greater self-esteem through new skills to solve challenging projects and complete them, provide inspiration and mentoring to girls so that they can become industry leaders in the future, and encourage principles of collaboration and teamwork to reach goals.
Janet and Kristen both have a rich past in volunteerism. Janet is a registered architect, holding a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Tennessee and is a former member of the American Institute of Architects. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and Sports Management, and a certificate in Non-Profit Management from Association of Fundraising Professionals.
